The Vatican has recently accepted Archbishop Schnurr's retirement and appointed Auxiliary Bishop Robert Casey of Chicago to become our next Archbishop.  We pray for Archbishop Schnurr in his retirement, that the Lord grant him good health and the opportunity to use his remaining years to continue to grow in deeper relationship with Him in prayer and contemplation as the demanding duties of leading our diocese come to an end.  We pray also for Archbishop-designate Casey, that the Lord may grant Him many graces to become a good shepherd to all the faithful of Cincinnati, after the heart of Christ Himself.

Archbishop Schnurr will continue to serve as administrator of the Archdiocese until Bishop Casey is installed on a date to be announced soon.
